Luxembourg & Copenhagen; March 18, 2021: Quintet Private Bank, headquartered in Luxembourg and operating in 50 European cities, announced today the promotion of Ole Jensby to CEO, Nordics. Jensby joined Quintet in 2019 as Head of Quintet Luxembourg’s Nordic Desk, which serves Nordic-domiciled clients and expatriates in Europe.
Working closely with the leadership of Quintet Danmark, the firm’s Danish branch, and its Nordic team in Luxembourg, Jensby will focus on growing Quintet’s book of clients in Denmark and, from the Grand Duchy, in Sweden and Finland. At the same time, he will lead Quintet’s long-term Northern European expansion through organic and semi-organic initiatives, as well as potential acquisitions.
As of May 2021, Quintet Danmark will count 10 professionals – double the number from when the business opened less than a year ago – while a team of five runs the Nordic Desk at Quintet Luxembourg. Under Jensby’s leadership, the firm will continue to recruit additional staff in both locations, in line with its regional expansion plans.
Most recently Head of Nordic UHNW at UBS Global Wealth Management in Luxembourg, Jensby brings more than a quarter-century of experience to this leadership role at Quintet.
A Danish national who holds degrees from Aarhus University and Copenhagen Business School, he began his career in 1994 at Nordea, serving in a number of different roles. Jensby then held a senior position at Jyske Bank before relocating in 2011 to Luxembourg as Senior Vice President – Financial Advisor at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Dividing his time between the Nordic countries and the Grand Duchy, Jensby has also been named a member of the Quintet Europe Management Committee, reporting to Thomas Rodermann, CEO of Quintet Europe, which encompasses the firm’s European Union-based branches.
“As he has demonstrated since joining Quintet in 2019, Ole is not only a skilled client advisor – who knows how to meet the complex needs of the individuals and families we serve – he is also a strong leader,” said Rodermann. “In his new role, Ole will inspire our growing Nordic team through his calm confidence, clear vision and total commitment to putting clients first. His promotion is well deserved.”
“In Luxembourg and Denmark – and everywhere we do business – Quintet stands out from the crowd by fostering collaboration, cutting through complexity and building long-term relationships founded upon trust,” Jensby said.
“After a wonderful decade in the Grand Duchy, I am excited about coming home to Denmark later this year, closer to our clients in the heart of this high-growth region. Working in partnership with my colleagues, we will accelerate the growth of our Nordic business – one client at a time”
